Guess who’s back? It’s GANNI and Levi’s, that’s who! The two brands are teaming up for their third collaboration. This time, the duo opted for a natural-toned collection, dubbed the “Grow Up” collection, which takes inspiration from the most important thing around us, nature.
“GANNI and Levi’s are such natural partners,” explains Levi’s Chief Product Officer Karyn Hillman. “We love the optimism, irreverence, and approachability that GANNI infuses in their designs—and our shared commitment to sustainability, which is front and center in our latest feel-good collaboration. The collection is full of easy-to-wear instant classics that are as cool as they are comfortable.”
Tapping into the world of gardening, Mother Nature inspires the new collection. This theme is weaved throughout the whole collection, with the brands taking steps to produce the pieces with a minimum of 55 percent certified organic cotton, and natural dyes that come from real plants and minerals, while using methods with reduced water consumption.
The collection is composed of eight pieces that emulate nature with muted hues and simple silhouettes, making them easy to wear anywhere. For this collaboration, they are launching two styles of jeans, the classic 90s 501 and baggy boot jeans, a trucker jacket, a skirt, a denim halter vest, two dresses, and a blouse. The sizing goes up to 3X for most pieces, which is a start in making sustainable clothing accessible to people in larger bodies, but there is still room for improvement.
“I can’t believe this is our third collaboration with Levi’s, it’s such a testament to the power of working together!” says GANNI Creative Director, Ditte Reffstrup. “We have been aligned on our visions from the very beginning and we continue to grow and learn from each other. The collection is a perfect mix of signature Levi’s and GANNI elements and I love the humor-infused campaign.”
Starring Emma Chamberlain, the campaign sees her and other models prancing around a field with oversized veggies, taking us with them on a fashionable adventure.
The GANNI SS23 runway show included the new launch, which took place on August 11. It was released worldwide on August 18 and is now available to shop in specific Levi’s stores, on Levi.com and on the brand’s app.
