By now, we’re all familiar with the material science company PANGAIA and its mission to transform the clothing industry into something inherently more planet positive and materially forward-thinking.
Its team of scientists, technologists and designers continue to push boundaries with a steady stream of products in new materials, technologies and systems. And, with the release of a new partnership with influential Stylist and former L’Uomo Vogue Fashion Editor-At-Large, Robert Rabensteiner, the future-facing label also continues to refine its sartorial vision in tandem.
Imbued with a poolside pastel-chic, PANGAIA x Robert Rabensteiner is set to be the collaboration of the summer, with a vibrant line-up ranging from robes and kaftans to slippers and beach tote bags, ready for those sun-kissed shores.
Taking advantage of natural fibers, organic cotton toweling is featured throughout the collection, providing the wearer with soft, absorbent and lightweight characteristics. Excitingly, the material is also treated with their state-of-the-art odor control treatment, PPRMINT™ Oil, which reduces the need for frequent washing, a big contributor to the 100,000 gallons of water per year a typical household uses, not to mention its high energy use.
With this limited-edition collection, which follows on from its recent collaboration with Zellerfeld on a 3D printed sneaker, PANGAIA seems keen to make further moves into the luxury fashion market, with a product range that is expanding on their genderless leisurewear apparel.
“I am delighted to be collaborating with PANGAIA – a brand best known for being powered by nature and driven by purpose, design and science,” offers Rabensteiner in discussing the collection. “[What] we have created together is comfortable, easy to wear and can be worn to and from the spa, pool, or boat. With its strong colors and silhouettes, I want everyone to have fun while wearing it.”
The PANGAIA x Robert Rabensteiner capsule collection will be available only on PANGAIA’s website and ships worldwide, from June 19.
