ASICS and NAKED Copenhagen are back at it again with their fourth collaboration. Taking on ASICS’ motto of living uplifted, the pair set off to create the sneaker of their dreams, but better.
For the latest collaboration, the duo has redesigned ASICS’ GEL-1130 model. For this new version, they’ve presented a vegan-friendly sneaker that’s primarily made from recycled materials, from the breathable mesh that covers the sneaker’s upper to the faux leather overlays, including the laces.
Design-wise, the shoe features a cool retro feel to it, featuring sage green and brushed silver overlays across the upper, in classic ASICS fashion. These flow into an off-white GEL midsole, with a TRUSSTIC torsion arch, also in sage green, that links the forefoot and heel. Last, but not least, there’s a black-grey rubber outsole that finishes off the sneaker.
Paying homage to ASICS’ heritage and legacy, the model comes in a branded shoe box with both brands’ hometowns, Kobe and Copenhagen. The box is made with recycled material and uses water-based printing for the branding.
You can get your hands on this new GEL-1130 model now on the NAKED Copenhagen website and ASICS.com.
