Nike’s Pegasus Turbo Next Nature Has Finally Hit Retail Shelves

Having reported on the Nike Pegasus Turbo Next Nature’s unveiling back in April, the Earth-friendlier performance running sneaker is now available for purchase on Nike.com and select retailers around the world. Currently, you have your choice of two colorways: Black/Off Noir/Sesame/Sail and Pure Platinum/Black/Medium Blue/Bright Crimson.

The Nike Pegasus was added to the brand’s range of running shoes back in 1983, with the goal of catering to every runner, no matter your level of athleticism. The sneaker was designed to be half Air, representing movement, quickness, and the appeal of flying, tying into the flying half-horse the model is named after.

Made with at least 50 percent recycled material by weight, this updated version of the Pegasus uses 100 percent recycled Flyknit yarns in the upper to create a more secure fit. That Flyknit upper is dyed using a solution-dying process that saves up to 70 liters of water for every kilogram of yarn made.

Based on data from testing groups, runners wanted an adaptable shoe, made responsibly, that had more foam underfoot. Now, with the Nike Pegasus Turbo Next Nature, the sport’s giant has delivered a midsole made with at least 55 percent recycled ZoomX foam.

You can buy the Nike Pegasus Turbo Next Nature now at Nike.com.
