Get Your Suicoke Sandals Repaired With a Vibram Sole

Suicoke, the innovative Japanese footwear label known for its distinctive sandal silhouettes has partnered with sole experts Vibram. The result isn’t a sticky soled moc or sandal. It’s a repair program called “Repair If You Care”.

The premise is simple. Customers can have their Suicoke shoes repaired using Vibram’s signature rubber soles. Boots, sliders or sandals that have been worn out (as happens to all your favorite shoes), can feel brand new again with a unique sole.

Vibram launched the program late last year, then debuted the Suicoke partnership during Paris Fashion Week earlier this month. It’ll then be active at Vibram Academy workshops in London, Wien and Athens, before becoming a much more permanent fixture in shoe repair shops and cobblers in the U.S., Europe and Japan. This move will make it accessible to many of Suicoke’s customers across the world.

It also supports local business and craftspeople. Cobblers can partner with Vibram already, certifying their expertise to repair shoes and boots with their rubber soles. Now their remit is widened to include Suicoke styles.

Suicoke and Vibram have a history of working together. Vibram provided soles for some of Suicoke’s classic sandal styles. And then there was Suicoke’s version of Vibram’s iconic FiveFingers shoe: the head-turning footwear with individual toe pockets.

Musing on the collaboration Enrico Pasi, global brand director, Suicoke, said: “We are ecstatic to share this appreciation of giving the shoes we wear a second-life with our long-term friends and partners at Vibram. It started with integrating the Vibram sole, then came the reinterpretation of the Five-finger shoes, and now we build new futures for whatever comes next with the Repair Program.”
